Have you heard about singles cookery classes?

Finding love is getting easier these days with the influx of different ways to date.  You can go online, try speed dating or even sign up to find your ideal mate in uniform!  However, one sure fire way of meeting people who truly share your passions is going on a cookery course designed for singles.  What better way is there to get to know someone than rubbing their bread with a bit of garlic..?  Cookery courses for singles are available across the country and can run as one off sessions or over a series of weeks, which really gives you the chance to get to know your classmates.  These courses will be designed with romance in mind and you will learn how to seduce with your menu.

The experienced chefs running the class will usually start off by teaching the class a few basic tips and tricks for successful cooking.  They may even encourage you all to have a little glass of wine to loosen you up and get you in the mood… for cooking!  Some of the best courses start off as a sort of speed dating set up where each person in the class will spend a couple of minutes chatting to another student.  These ice breakers really help get people chatting and create a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.  Some courses continue this theme throughout the class, pairing people up to complete each portion of preparing the meal.

Once you have finished cooking up a storm, the students usually sit down to enjoy the fruits of their labour either as a group or with a chosen partner.  Attending a singles’ cooking class is such an enriching way to socialise and spend some time with new potential mates.  Other forms of dating can often leave you feeling a little unfulfilled but at the very least, in choosing a singles’ cooking class, you’ll come away with the knowledge necessary to prepare a good meal!

A Few Tips for Success in Singles’ Cookery Classes

  • Make an effort - Although your clothes might end up splattered with white wine sauce, you want to look your best in case you happen to run into the man or woman of your dreams.  So dress up, but avoid anything too smart for fear of sticking out like a sore thumb!
  • Keep calm – in a crowded class, the temptation can be to try to stand out but you can quickly start to look like an attention seeker.  So keep your cool, pipe up occasionally and try to look as approachable as you can.
  • Be confident – whilst trying not to be too overbearing, do keep an air of confidence about you if someone starts talking to you.  But be careful, there’s a fine line between confidence and arrogance so be sure of yourself but try not to sound too egotistical!
  • Pay attention – to be sure that you get the most out of the course, remember to pay attention to what you’re being taught too so that even if you don’t meet ‘the one’, you’ll still have some mean new skills in the kitchen!

Finding a Course

Depending on where you live, there are plenty of courses to choose from.  A good place to start is by hunting online for popular classes near to you.  Try asking on singles’ forums if anyone knows of any courses running close to where you live.
